ABSOLUTELY NO ADVIL! tylenol only, unless you call and ask your doctor first. I am 31 weeks pregnant, and had aweful, aweful headaches up until about 24 weeks. Tylenol is the only hope. Unless your doctor perscribes you something. It is totally normal, so dont worry. Just another Joy of pregancy. :-) congratulations on the baby!

Do not take Advil. It is not safe when pregnant. You can take Extra Strength Tylenol, and even Tylenol PM. Try seeing a massage therapist. If you find a good one, they are specially trained for pregnancy massage. My husband is a massage therapist and he always takes care of my headaches. Good Luck!

nope nope nope on ADVIL. Even your doctor will tell you thats a no, no!
um. my doctor told me tylenol in moderation. Take 2 regular strength.. not extra strength and you shall be golden.
My doctor also told me, since i have bad a*s allergies to take Benardyl. i only have a few times because it makes me sleep... but before taking anything else wait until you can get a hold of doc. so just take tylenol for now!
good luck and its just the begining. :)

No, you shouldn't take Advil or Ibuprofin. You may take Tylenol for fever less than 100.5 degree. If the fever is higher, please call your physician.

Practically everything the mother takes into her body is passed through the placenta into the baby’s bloodstream. It is very important that you avoid taking medications unnecessarily, particularly in the first eight to twelve weeks when the baby’s heart, lungs and brain are being developed. Some over-the-counter medications are considered safe to take and are listed below, but a good rule to follow is to read labels carefully. Pseudo-ephedrin, and Dexamethorphan are safe ingredients for pregnant women. TAKE ALL MEDICATIONS AS DIRECTED AND DO NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM DAILY DOSE. If the condition for which you are taking the medication does not improve within one or two days call your physician for advice.

I believe that is normal for your condition. However, are you getting any high fevers with this too? In either case, it might be a good idea to see a maternity (or Paternity- I forget the correct name for this- but baby doctor in layman's terms) Doctor before you take any drugs because the drugs will, most likely, be absorbed into your womb too!

Better to just get accustom to it, its normal and going to get worse before it gets better. No, the only pain reliever recommended during pregnancy is actenminephen (Tylenol). Better to start using compresses, relaxing warm (NOT HOT) baths, and non-chemical alternatives.
