This sounds like the symptoms of yeast infection. One symptom you are likely to experience if it is a yeast infection is a white or greyish discharge. If you've never had a yeast infection before, you should see your doctor. There are single dose prescription medications that can clear it up. It's not a very good idea to self-treat your first yeast infection, because it may actually be a similar condition such as bacterial vaginosis.

I'm not sure of your age, so if you're young, talk to your mom or another close relative you feel comfortable with about seeing your doctor.

Congratulations on your first yeast infection! lol, eat plenty of yogurt, and if you have some plain unflavored kind, you can even put it directly into the vagina, that will help, but only unflavored as flavoreds have sugar which yeast loves. Othwerwise it's see a doctor for a prescription or monistat.

You can buy anti-itch cream for this area at the drugstore. If you don't have a discharge, then you most likely don't have an infection. Your skin down there is just irritated, and when you itched it you made it worse, that's all. You'll be all right.

It's probably a yeast infection.
