For an equation of form:

x^8/(u^3v^6) where u=f(x) and v=g(x), is there a simpler way to simplify than using x^8/(u^3v^6)= A/u + B/u^2 + C/u^3 + D/v + E/v^2.......?

If you're doing a partial fractions decomposition you will indeed have to use every factor to all of its powers. You might want to use an online system solver to find the constants....
