I have heard that the book 'Eragon' is now a movie. I haven't read the book though, and am not sure whether I should see the movie or not.

believe me stick to the book. you can watch the movie afterwards but it's nothing like the book. book is good. movie terrible

If you like fantasy novels you should enjoy Eragon... Im actually reading "Eldest" which is the 2nd part of the Three books, and I am loving it! Was very excited when the movie came out... Ive read all the Harry Potter Books and think that "for the most part" the movies do the books justice... Had High hopes for Eragon... wa very disappointed... but Ill buy it on DVD when it comes out never the less... While Im at it... in the movie HOW FREAKEN WERID WAS IT THAT THE DRAGON HAD BIRD WINGS!!!!!! That was so annoying!!!!! She has FEATHERS!!!!

I haven't seen the movie, but I've read the book. Thought this would be a good opportunity to share my thoughts on it. If you took the plot from star wars and mashed it into the world of the lord of the rings it would be EXACTLY the same as Eragon. Book was written well, however, especially for a 14-year-old author.

I just saw the movie and I have to say I was expecting a little bit more, but it was still good. I would advise you to see it.
I also believe that there will be Eragon II, because the movie ended up with a too many questions that should be answered... So the show must go on!

The movie was very dissapointing. No Character development and the cheesiest scene of all time on how the Dragon grows. The book was good, but I like Eldest better.

I loved the book and was disappointed with the movie. I'd say that you should see the movie (you'll love it of you haven't read the book) and then read the book. That's what my mom did. ;D

It was an okay movie but the book was so much better. They just tried to squeeze all those pages in 1,5 hour, didn't work out. I found the movie really hasty.
But i guess if you haven't read the book, its nice (my boyfriend fell asleep though ^^)

I liked the book and movie because I love adventure and magic and I love to see fighting movies but it is sad. I cry during the sad parts of the movie.

I read the book like 3 months before i saw the movie, please read the book before you see the movie. The movie is so bad you are not going to read the book because its realyy a bad movie.

ive read the book, and seen the movie. movies are never as good as the books, but this one was awesome. it didnt follow exactly, but that was ok, the way they did it.
