The Raiders can't win because they made the mistake of investing in guys that were past their prime. Moss is not the Moss of the Vikings days, Sapp was definitely past his prime, Aaron Brooks was never that good IN his prime. They could've capitalized on Moss when he first came to the Raiders by getting him a QB that could get him the ball. But they didn't. And their offensive line is about as non-existant as it can get. Their defense won the two games they won last season. I mean everything about them was absolutely dismal.

With that being said, taking Calvin Johnson is no good if you have absolutely no one to throw to him. So I say they HAVE to go with JaMarcus Russell. They don't have the pocket protection for a guy like Quinn to be successful. They need a big strong guy that can take the hits and throw from his back.....because until they build up their line that's what he's going to be doing. Russell has the arm strength and the size to do that. Then they need to dedicate to building up their offensive line this year and start beefing up everything else when they can. You have Dominic Rhodes now and Porter has decided to stay, but Rhodes can't run without a line. And Porter won't see much without a line to protect the QB. Take those steps and worry about everything else later.

The raiders can win they just cant for the simple fact that THEIR OFFENSE SUCKS. But their main problems are their QB and their running game and not to mention one particular player by the name Moss? The can start by getting JaMarcus Russel QB of LSU he is a freakish athlete and stretches the field alot. Trust me when you have a guy who can throw the ball seventy yards with the flick of a risk and can run it helps alot. From that point you move to the next issue i think which is well Randy Moss if they can somehow wheel and deal their way with some team and get another good runner and a draft pick they should be in good shape. LOOK the Raiders are not a bad football team they have a good solid young defense that is held together by the leadership of Sapp give them maybe a 1 or 2 years they be back on the map again I promise.

Raiders need a LOT

QB: THey have NONE

RB: Lamont Jordan is OK, but not great, they can use him as their starter for another season but hes not great.

O-Line- The O-line needs some help, its half the reason they raiders QB's are doing so poorly

Secondary: The raiders need to fix their whole secondary entirly, they can't stop the pass for their life

Its gonna take much more than a first round pick to save this team, there gonna have to start making some moves in free agentcy, I just don't see this team doing well this year, or next year.

The raiders problem is their Lack of good QBs

Ever since Richy gannon retired the raiders were on the bottom because they didnt have a good QB to lead the team. They will sign either Russle or Quinn as a first round draft pick.

Im a Chiefs fan so i hate the raiders.

They need to change the way they evaluate talent and quit bringing in some the bums that have played here recently. The biggest problem has been offense. Since Gannon went down, they have been horrible. The Raiders need a QB and some O-line help.

If I were GM of the Raiders I would look for better offensive linemen, a better qb and another rb to complement Lamont Jordan.

Then again if I were GM of the Raiders I wouldnt have hired Lane Kiffen (sp?) I would have brought back Jim Fassel.

The Raiders can't win because Al Davis meddles in the daily operations too much. Football isn't the same...odd ball teams aren't as good as they were in the 70's when they could beat the crap out of QB's and Linemen. Now you need atheletes that complete a puzzle not atheletes that puzzle opponents.....

they are good alright, but they need to learn how to pay attention to the coach play by play and use common sense out on the field, and make the play work, not for short yards, but for longer yards, also the defense has to step up and stop every play without the yellow flag being tossed in the air, they sure need a quarterback with another good running back, go raiders, lets get to the superbowl haven't given up on u raiders get to the playoffs this year from worst to first!!! go raiders!!!!!

They need a qb but not necessarily one in the first round. Honestly I do not think their talent is that bad, but they sure looked disorganized, disheartened, and disaster prone last year. Also, they need a guard to get their running game going otherwise I think the raiders can surprise people next year if they play with enthusiasm.

5 new offensive linemen. A tough QB that can handle getting spanked this next year by most of the league.
The first thing they need is to bury Davis and start from scratch.
