The financial damage will take about 30 years at least ( to pay off the bonds sold to finance the deficit.) The damage to our reputation with our allies will take a few years to rebuild, but they will come around fast enough with anew President.
As for the Muslim world, that will take a least 100 years to repair. Muslims have historically had very long memories of when they've been wronged.

How long will it take for the jobs to come back? That is how long. And that does not even begin to tap the lives he destroyed in Iraq, both American and Iraqi. You want to know how bad he is? Saddam Hussein, apparently, wasn't as bad, since the deaths he caused by Genocide don't quite match the deaths Bush has cause for a outright war for oil so Dick Cheney could get rich and Haliburton could make it's blood money.

There is a couplet in Urdu - khata lamhon ne ki, sazaa sadion ne payee - It means that the mistake was done for some seconds but the centuries bore the brunts. The impulsive decision sometimes creates havoc and it effects the life for years to come.Everything will be alright if Bus accepts his mistake instead of taking alibi.

I feel the damage that has been done will take over one hundred years. We have interfered as americans with our religeons our attitudes and our superiorty complexes that will carry on into the next century which will show us that somtimes compromise without abusive control is a better way.

Unknown...the damage he caused in Texas as Governor still hasn't been fixed, and likely won't for many, many years...decades maybe. Scale that up and multiply by a factor of 3 or 4 for his current assorted idiocies.

You can't unscramble an egg.
But the world goes on. look at Germany, they are a strong, proud, rich country. Bush is not as bad as Hitler (but he has some time left).
