Could be the slow start to labor, especially if this is your first. Did you lose your mucus plug? Watch for that. In the meantime, counter pressure to your lower back might help. Did an ob/gyn ever tell you your uterus was tipped? Women with tipped uterus' tend to back labor - where the baby's head pushes on the spine with each contraction - ow! Have your hubby practice that counter pressure now so he's good at it in time for labor. Best of luck to you in this happy time!

I had that when I was pregnant too, I went to the hospital 3 times before it was actually the real thing, I would suggest getting a chair you can put in the shower and let the warm water run on your belly and back, it will relax the muscles and help with the pain as much as you can get with out painkillers, good luck and really try to get your rest, you are going to need it!

Sounds funny, but what worked for me is bouncing up and down a little on the couch. (while you are sitting) It takes the pressure that the baby is putting on you. This was the only thing that helped when I was around that time and that was how I was feeling. Kind of like a birthing ball type of thing when you dont have one. Hope this helps. Good Luck

Relax and continually keep a hot pad on stomach, relieves a little bit, otherwise you'll just have to bear with it.
