I recommend you do a little research with the Business Opportunity Search Engine. Being community driven it’s a cross between a search engine and a Wikipedia. You can add, delete and improve the results for much more focused answers than a general search engine can provide. http://www.BusinessOpportunitySearchEngine.com

I don't know about candle making. I have a friend that does it in Oregon but only makes one time sales rather then consumable products for a residual income. I'm an independent consulant and have my own home based health and wellness with Arbonne. I do very well, have a lot of fun, and it's super easy! I share premium proprietary products and a business opportunity. Here's some info:
Arbonne is the LARGEST health and wellness company in the world. We are also the worlds #1 multi level marketing company ranked by Citibank & the fastest growing business in network marketing. We experienced a 200% growth in 2006! That speaks for itself!
Arbonne has over 400 consumable, proprietary products, made with exceptionally high EUROPEAN STANDARDS of quality, in 6 key consumer market including skin care, body care, weight loss, nutrition, aromatherapy, and cosmetics.
All of Arbonne's products are formulated in Switzerland and made in the US so they're unlike any others on the market. They're made with a proprietary blend of natural botanicals, pure, safe, beneficial, hypoallergenic, pH correct, dermatologist tested, and formulated without alcohol, wax, dyes, chemicals, fragrances, acetone, and mineral oil. The products are revolutionary and result oriented. They are the choice of spas, salons, doctors, plastic surgeons, dermatologists, and estheticians!
WHY ARBONNE?
*Mercedes Benz car program
*Debt free with a low start up cost of $29
*Unlimited residual income, NO GLASS CEILING
*No inventory

There are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of home business ideas. Their success depends on the business owner, not the business. What are your interests? What are your goals? What are you willing to do? Are you willing to invest in yourself?
Answer these questions for yourself and find a business that will realistically allow you to achieve these things.
Best wishes...
