They are selling eye liner now that you actually use on the inside of your lashes (not underneath or on top of). It doesn't make you look obvious but it does make your eyes become a focal point.
It is so easy to do....and I tried the other way and made a mess of it so believe me.
If you can't find it in the store go to Home Shoppers or QVC they sell it all the time.
have fun

FOR THE UPPER LID: while one eye is open (so u can see application to the other eye) close the other eye and lift the skin up with your middle finger, so that the skin is tight, now you can surely apply liner as close to the lash line as possible (it looks better and cleaner when applied there)...now once done, follow the same steps i said for the other eye.
FOR THE LOWER LID:
a.) for a more natural look, make sure the tip of your pencil is sharpened and has a pointy end, (but not so pointy-needle-sharp-like, it still should be soft enough at the tip),next make dots along close to the lash line and if u want blend it outwards after with ur pinky or cotton swab.
b.) for a more dramatic look and more defined look, simply just line your INSIDE lower eye lid,
which is above the lash line, you know its done right, because everytime you should end up with a perfect defined line.
if u really liked my answer pick it as the Best

when you're applying your eyeliner you should pull your eyelid tightly sideways, or at least tight enough so that your eyelid is smooth, but not so much so that your eyelid is flipping up (cuz that's just gross right?), next, draw very lightly from the outter corner of your eyelid to the point where your eyelashes stop. The key to eyeliner is to make it look as natural as possible, so try drawing it as close to your lashline as you can. Also, if you have big eyes, you probably don't need to line your lower lashes either.

Try using Covergirl liquid eyeliner. It has a great tip so you can go thick or thin. You have better control with the liquid. Only use it on the top lid (for big eyes). They have some nice brown tones, try those for a softer look.

For the straight line, it just takes alot of practice to stay still and have a steady hand. Try lining the inside of your eyelids (the part between your eye and lashes). And find a liner that complements your eye color. Black isn't for everyone.

close the eye you are lining and use a finger from the hand not holding the pencil to pull the lid taught (don't pull too hard) and that should help you to make a straighter line.
It also could be that you are not using a pencil that is easy to use. I use the self sharpening soft liners as the actual pencils are too hard to use. They do not give as fluid of a motion. Some people also think that the liquid liners are easier to use as well

use a pencil, and rub It between your fingers to warm it a little (helps it go on smoother) then line the top of your eyes. Then use a powder eyeshadow almost the same color and go over it. It will naturally kind of "blend" out a very little bit, but makes it look more natural and bring out your eyes more. After that, line the inside rim of your lower lid. Good luck!

use pencil liner.
then pull the bottom lid down and "draw" a line on the skin closest to the eye. start where the bottom lashes start to thicken, and go all the way to the edge. (it will be uncomfortable for few times) once u get the hang of that, try it with the top lid. flip it up, but "draw" all the way from corner to corner.
Hope i helped!

I suggest you skip the liner if you cannot apply it right. Buy a flat brush, I think they call it an angle brush, and a dark eye shadow, black if you prefer. Apply the shadow like along your lashes, it will give the eyeliner effect with out the mess.
