Hey,

I'm sorry to hear that noone in your household is a good role model financially. But you know what - if your dad makes so little money it doesn't mean you'll be like him. You are young and you have options!

I like your idea of wanting to become a veterinarian. You will be doing something good - helping animals, and you will be making steady income to support yourself and your future children. You can still be a good vet when you're 50 but there is no way you can be a stripper at that age.
I know a stripper - she seems like a good person caught in a bad situation, but she is over 30 now, single mom and desperately looking for other options. Only it is much harder when you're 30, have no education and have a kid. She is poor btw, she didn't save any money. Like it or not, but the fact of life is that strippers are looked down upon, so she doesn't have any connections that can help her to get a better job.

If you want dancing to be your profession - learn to dance then dance professionally for real, then teach dance when you are old. It's much better to teach an old creepy guy how to dance salsa then giving him a lap dance. Dance teachers make $50-$300 an hour depending how good you are or what style you teach.

I got the idea to become a dancer when I was about your age as well. I didn't start dancing though until I was 21. I'll be honest this industry is going downhill, and FAST. What was once a luxurious profession is endless money makin potential is fastly losing it's way. With the economy being the way it is (people losing their job, thus can't spend in the stripclub), and with access to "adult" things on the internet many men are just not frequenting the stripclubs like they used to.

Once, when exotic dancing was looked at as taboo money was great. Now, every young girl wants to be a dancer because they think it's cute, and they are under the impression that they are going to make $$$$ of money. That could be so far from the truth.

Dancing has it's ups/downs both financially and emotionally. You may work one night and make $600, and then the next 5 nights after that only make $30 (yes it does work like that) You also have to deal with it on it's emotional levels. Coming into work to hopefully make money does work its toll. Every man has a preference, and there are just some nights when you just aren't it.

My advice to you would be to first graduate from high school with the highest GPA you can get. Apply for scholarships and fill out your financial aid application. Get accepted into college and then focus your time and energy on becoming a veterinarian. **This is important** If after a year of juggling school and a part-time job at school is something you can contain and still make good grades, then look into some clubs in your area. One downside to being a dancer and being in school is the fact that sometimes your peers (kids you go to school with), family, friends, hell even your professor (lol yes this has happened to me) may come into the club..how do you think you can handle that?

Whatever you decide to do though, stay in those books and get your education. Even if you want to be a dancer now, you can't live that life forever. You dont want to end up as that 1 old-school stripper who is 43yrs old and still dancing because she has no other skills and no other means to support herself. Be sweet and be blessed!

A major con is you'll have men your grandfather's age watching and or wanting personal lap dances from you. I don't think this career can get you very far because once your body is changed in any bad way your career is over. If you get an injury and can't "dance" your career is over. Not to mention it's just a way to make easy money. I'm not your momma so if you want to do it I don't care, BUT you'll need to find out ALL the pros and cons and I'd suggest getting a degree in something else to fall back on. Good luck youngen!

okay i know you said that your being serious but so am i before you start that dancing thing that you want to do i think that you need to go to college first just incase the dancer thing doesnt work out for you. you never know what could happen between now at the age of 14 and the age of 18, you could gain a ton of weight and not be aloud to preform due to your weight condition, you could also break your leg or something like that and not be able to dance due to injury. so think about it what happens when you cant be a dancer then what will you do? i suggest to at least go to college and get your generals and maybe an associates degree in nursing or something that way you can always fall back on it and not fall back on your @$$. yeah i know that right now your seeing all the money that dancers make but they also have to do alot more than dance to make that kind of money, they also have to deal with stalkers, and homofobes, and guys always touching them and STD's. its a pretty scary life. If you really want to be a dancer i would go for the las vegas acts where you dance on stage with those big feather costums with other girls as an ack, they too make lots of money. check into your options, but please consider the college thing, you can alway go to school and dance part time at the same time.

Ok here is the low-down on strippers. I used to live in las vegas and knew a few of them. The kind of money they made was not as good as you think. Average was about 200 to 300 per day, but all strippers are lazy and dont want to work everyday. Sure they occasionally had a 700 dollar day here and there, but expect 200 to 300. The ONLY girls that are making 1000+ per day everyday are the ones having sex for money...this is a fact. Remember this also...if you become a stripper, no decent man will ever marry you. You will be destined only to marry....well...the type of guy that marries a stripper. Then there is a 95% chance he will leave you once you pop out 2 kids, so you will be a single parent then. In 7 years in las vegas that i lived there...i never met one stripper that ever had any money saved. ALL of them lived payday to payday. They would work one day...spend the money until it ran out, go to work for another day, spend that money and so on.

Ask yourself what you really want out of life. If its respect from people...you wont get it as a stripper. You wont even get it from the sleeze balls that come to see you dance.

If its money you want, why not go to college for 2 years and get your nursing degree. Then you get respect and you get money. Nurses make 37.50 per hour starting wage where i live with a 12,000 dollar sign on bonus.

Keep fit and try taking some dance lessons. Be creative. The pros is that you'll make a ton of easy money if you're hot, but it's degrading and potentially dangerous. Stalkers and rapists.

I doubt that you're serious, and maybe not even a girl, but I'll have fun with it. Name yourself after some kinda liquor. If you're broke, strip your way to pay for college then. Vet school is real competitive and somebody who can't spell veterinarian is probably too stupid to get in anyway. Try nursing or just take business and own a pet store. Or just try to be real pretty and marry a rich guy.

My advice...don't do it.

I have a friend that did it for years. Lived the life of luxury pulling in the big $$, had breast implants, fancy cars, the guys....now she is in her 30's, a single mom, had to go out of find a job bc there is no 'retirement' from stripping. She couldn't find a job where she made as much stripping and yet she couldn't go back to stripping bc she was too old. She isn't making the money she did and yet she still wants to live the lifestyle of fancy cars and such bc she had for so long.

Go to school, get an education and be productive.

wow,I cant belive your mom supports you, unless she is a stripper and is looking for a away to validate her foolish actions because no mother in her sober God fearing mind would strip hrs daughter nude and toss her greased up body out on to a flood lit stage to spread aegle inches away from the prying eyes of somebodys grandpa.Could be your grandpa. or even a neighbors. sounds like a fab. life yeah.
