Keep some crackers and water next to your bed. Before you get up, have a light snack. That usually works. If not, speak to you doctor about it.

Bad news hun, nothing fixes morning sickness. ::lol:: Best thing is Zofran. But that is only if you are really, really sick. Also Phenagan is good to, just makes you very sleeeepy. I ate watermelon when i morning sickness, it helps hydrate you, plus if you can't hold it down, its not so horrible comming up as crackers and dry toast can be. Ugh! And remember, don't get up fast, when you wake up in the morning, lie there for about 10 minutes, snack on some crackers, then get up. Avoid things that trigger your nausea as well.

Flat ginger ale and crackers and dry Kix cereal were the only things that worked for me. And I completely agree with the first person who said keep food by your bed to slowly eat when you first wake up. I couldn't have gotten out of bed were it not for that!
Good luck and congratulations on being pregnant! In about 7 months you won't even remember this morning sickness!

The main cause of morning sickness is a combination of issues related to the chemical changes your body is going through. Mix a pinch of nutmeg powder with a table spoon of gooseberry juice, and take it thrice a day. Sip little by little ginger juice mixed with honey before you get out of bed. Honestly, the best thing I found was Costco weight loss shakes! :) Sounds crazy, but just drink one with the first meal you can get down. There are tons of vitamins and minerals in there, and if you can keep it down, it helps make up for foods you can't. Don't take it to lose weight, tho, coz you know you need to gain 20-25 lbs while you're prego. Hope it helps! :)

saltines and OJ before getting out of bed worked for me. Some days nothing worked. My Ob. said to try ginger supplements. Pills didn't work (they actually made me sicker! turned out ginger was one of those things I was averse to). and I hated candied ginger, the soda worked well, I think it was ginger ale. Of course, the second time I was pregnant, all that sugar in the soda made me gain over 20 pounds over what you are supposed to gain! Good luck though!

My wife had morning sickness for 20 weeks. The only thing she could do was eat as soon as she woke up. She also drank decaffinated coffee. 10 parts hot water and 1 part hot coffee. I think it was probably more just the hot water that helped.

HI,

I was told to have dried biscuits when i get up and through out the day. Don't let your tummy be on empty as that is what causes the morning sickness.

Good luck sunshine
