John Travolta's sister is named Ellen Travolta and she played Chachi's mom on "Happy Days" and "Joani Loves Chachi". She also appeared on a few episodes of "Who's The Boss" as a family friend who lived in Tony's old neighborhood.

They aren't related. Maybe that was a misprint because his mom does kind of look like Lily Tomlin. If you have ever watched Happy Days, John's mom was The Fonz's aunt and Chachi's mom. She also had a guest spot iin Grease as one of the waitresses at the diner they hung out in.
