Is it because you are (apart from me) the only ones awake?

PS. Please no american-centric answers. I am in the UK and it is 3.11 am.

It's because babies tend to wake their parents in the small hours of the night and I sure that the ad execs are well aware of this,a captive audience so to speak.And I'm sure that there's a marketing report somewhere that states that tired and harassed minds are more susceptible to their evil sales techniques

At that time, I'm guessing it's either because it was cheap ad space to buy ( overnights usually are )or broadcasters figure that mothers are up at 3am with the baby. Here in the US, it's always these ads for dating services or party-lines or other junk. Neat to see how different it is.

I think the truth of it is that only in the wee hours are parents up watching tele while feeding or caring for ill wee ones.
