It's been said for a long time that we are all kind of gay. Society in the western modern world which reaches all over the world has never made piece with this and has decided it's wrong. As a result, we hide from this and literally hate someone for it. Almost all people that really do hate gays are scared of the fact that they could be gay.

Personally, I used to bartend in a gay bar. I know for certain I'm not gay and am comfortable with my sexuality and that of others. It doesn't bother me at all.

I don't hate anyone.
I disapprove of the act of homosexuality on the sole basis of my religion. And that is the only reason. I don't believe that their acts are any worse than any other act which is wrong (ie lying or stealing)
So the outright hatred of all gay people is absurd and wrong. But I won't be forced by society or anyone else to change my beliefs. They believe that what they do is fine and healthy. I believe that it was expressly forbidden by God. No need to hate, no need to grow angry. I have friends who've told lies, stolen things, done drugs etc. But we can still be friends because (1) they feel that what they did was wrong and they try never to do it again and (2) we share a common system of beliefs.
But I have no gay friends because (1) they feel that what they do is completely right and (2) we don't share a common system of beliefs.

PS I've met lots of really nice gay folks too, but our friendships don't seem to last because of this dichotomy.

It's not hatred but deep disapproval because no one can answer these questions:
Why the mannerisms?
Why the in your face defiance?
Why the outrageous behaviour?
