The contract states that if you cancel it early, you will be charged an early termination fee. You signed the contract to get your phone. You are legally obligated to pay the early termination fee.

Um, only if you are dead or if you are in the army and deploys they can either cancel your contract (depending on the provider) or suspend your account until your return. Other than that, yeah you have to pay deactivation fee and the remaining balance of your term. Sorry.

Yes.... find out what area or town in the country that they don't have service and tell them you are moving there. We did that and got out of our contract (but we were actually moving)... I have heard other people have done it and it worked. Other than that you have to pay the cancellation fee.
