What a stupid, insulting question to ask!

Our fine American men and women serving in our Armed Forces do so out of a love for their country and a belief that it is somehow giving back to this country of ours.

That they might get sent into an unpopular war is no fault of their own. That they follow orders means that they are good soldiers, even if it means following orders in an unpopular war. Our soldiers are not the blame nor the reason for us being bogged down in a quagmire.

You want to blame someone, try blaming those who have conducted the war poorly and unwisely.

And get a life, my friend.

If you are implying that serving in the US military in Iraq is a crime, I strongly disagree. Serving is the military is by no means a political endorsement of the war in Iraq, but a strong statement that you are willing to lay your life down for this country. The troops are doing a great service to our country regardless of our individual feelings about the war.

You're right. Instead of supporting our brave men and women, it is better that some nutjob group like the Taliban come to this country, enslave us, rape and torture our women, Saran gas our playgrounds, subject us to Sharia law. Do you actually read?

Thank you, Hanoi Jane.

The fact that they are returning veteran should not matter.

If they are convicted (during a court martial) of violating a specific criminal statute, then prison is a likely sentence.

Just being a soldier is not a criminal offense.

Only if you would. You would walk up to him, put his arms behind his back, and arrest him while telling him why you're arresting him. Go ahead and do that, I'm right behind you.
