Many of my classamtes tell me that i do.
But i am not trying to be.
I dont like emos. Well i guess i like gothics because they only want peace.
But my hair is always in my face covering half of my face and i wear a black wristband sometimes.
Which people are stupid for thinking im emo or gothic just because i wear a wristband.
I have black hair. I drag my feet when i walk.
I really dont want the impression of people thinking im emo.
I think i should change my hair. I dont know how tho because thats my natrual hair. It just hangs...
what to do?
Should i change everything about me?

Unfortunately people tend to judge us by how we look. If you look like a certain group of people, then many people will assume you ARE on of that group.
You could also try making a little nametag that says "I am not a Goth" or something. Or change one thing which would really stand out, like put your hair up out of your face.

Though you shouldn't care what people think...change is also good once in a while you can try to do a makeover a step at a time or do it all at once. You can start by your hair if you want, I don't know if you say an episode on MADE by MTV where a gothic/punk rock/mean girl had black hair and they made her a brown haired, prom princess? Well the hair itself made a dramatic change. If you don't want to go all brown you can just add highlights to your hair. Maybe try a different haircut like layers or something. Do you wear makeup maybe some lipstick/lipgloss would add some color. Just by lightening up your self you can come out of that label. You don't have to change clothes, or stop walking the way you do just add some white or color. Don't have to much black on your person. Would you think a blonde who dressed in pink walked the way you do and had a wristband would be label gothic? I don't think so, you just have to balance your colors. By the way try stepping out of your comfort zone be more social towards everyone not just a certain type of people but be one of those persons that likes everyone not just he pretty popular people or the geeks or the jocks you know. You'll be liked by everyone and you'll feel good about yourself.

People used to call me emo all the time.
I started wearing less makeup, and I dyed my hair a lighter shade of brown (beforehand, it was nearly black). I pin my bangs back out of my face when I feel like they're making me look "emo". I'd say don't change for other people, but that would make me a hypocrite, so if you are unhappy with the way you look, change it. I'd suggest a lighter hair color, and chunky bracelets rather than wristbands. I don't know why, but wristbands just scream "emo" to most of the people I know.

Definetly now not sweetie! You're now not gothic or emo in any respect! In reality your mouth and eyes are typical and fascinating, a few gothic men and women complete their faces of black make-up, that's now not your case. Your hair is black however that does not imply your gothic, It manner you are precise and lovely.

I say just ignore the buggers, look how you want to. I still get people who tell me, "hey, a few years ago you were a Goth!" I wasn't! Just because i wore some Goth clothing doesn't make me a goth, djeee i hate these labels!! Don't ever change who you are because of some labeling idiots!

just don't wear so much black, and smile a little more. because usually, the people branded goth or emo look really sullen and depressed. don't walk around school looking like that and you shouldn't have too much of a problem. maybe wear some white. if you really wanna change your hair, go ahead, but it might not be necessary.
