Tell me why it is so hard to get Americans off their asses and stop complaining about what they don't have and be proud of what do Have .... The CONSTITUTION>>>>>> Let's see if all these American that ***** about our government were to be tossed into China, or Iraq or any other country then this one, how would they be able to survive. How would they feel if a man had a gun to their head for giving an opinion that wasn't the governments ........... ummmmmm think about it.

angela.... in a way, we've done it to ourselves. people rarely take personal pride in themselves anymore so why would they care about their country?! our government AKA America has become very selfish and spoiled. too many people think living credit card rich is the right thing to do and then try to get someone else to bail them out. it's just like that with the country pride - they think it's up to someone else.

Right about the time some idiot decided that the best way for people to live is to depend on government handouts instead of getting an education, getting a job, living responsibly, taking care of your family, and contributing to society in a meaningful and productive way. Me personally, I'm sick and tired of working my @$$ off and paying taxes so able body people can get a free ride, while people like me seem to struggle along. Its definatly time for a change. I think if the people who founded this once great country were alive today, they would be looking for another place to start a new life without all the b/s and freeloading, lazy, good for nothing people who have just about completely destroyed a once great country.

Most Americans believe in America. Most Americans are moderates (and are generally not represented on answers). Unfortunately, extremists on both sides (war-mongers and peace at any cost) have radicalized agendas. Radical agendas get more attention from the press and are generally better for ratings. I think most Americans realize their are fools on either side and find the best strategy is to ignore them.
