She said you could see rings on it. The baby is weighing in at 4 pounds. Has anyone else heard of this?

yes with my second child, the doctor said you could see white spots almost like clouds..they induced me. 32 weeks and four pounds what did your doctor say? i would suggest putting a call in to him/her and asking what that means for you and the baby

Usually the placenta doesn't start to mature until after 40 weeks that is why a doctor won't let you go a month after your due date because of the potential of the placenta separating and the child dying.
That is a new one for me!

Never heard of that before... but there is a first for everything... LOL there is a good magazine called "As It Grows" and its all about the stages in pregnancy from the inside... It gives details and pictures of whats happening or whats to be expected with each trimester... I learned a lot from it you might want to check it out if you as your Dr Im sure they can give you a copy or at least tell you where you can get one...

I find this interesting, but my comment is that the tech should have kept her mouth shut and made a note of it for the doctor. Cause now look - you are all worked up!!
