I get a reasonable amount of sleep for a college student, 7-8 hours usually. Yet every morning when I wake up I never feel like I've had a good night's sleep. Obviously most people still feel sleepy as they get up, but I always feel extremely tired and have a headache, like I have a mild hangover (btw I rarely drink alcohol) or something. I thought this could be because my room is too stuffy and I try to keep it as well ventilated as possible and have the fan on in my direction; I also drink water before I go to bed because I thought i was dehydrated. but nothing works. Any ideas?

Maybe cos u are awakened by alarm instead of waking up naturally? This normally makes the mind more tired cos it's disrupted from sleep.
Suggest u sleep early and wake up on ur own instead, don't continue to sleep until the alarm rings.

It might be sleep apnea. You need to talk to a doctor and probably get a sleep test. You might also want to try a hepa filter in your room, if you think it's bad air and you're having allergy issues.

Probably need to relax.

Thinking of what you should be doing tomorrow isn't relaxing
