No laws were broken - you've been duped by the democrats' and the media's hype and rhetoric.
If the democrats can succeed in opening up enough investigations, they feel it will serve three purposes:
One, it will take the spot light off their total failure to implement any of their recent campaign promises and, two, even if no valid infractions are found, the sheer number of investigations will shroud the executive branch in suspicion, and, three, it will give their base the illusion that they are doing something other than initiating non binding resolutions and drafting proposals that even the authors know won't pass.
Their objectives are clear - they want to discredit Bush in any way possible to boost their chances in 2008.
Example:
"Bush lied."
If the democrats had any valid and verifiable proof, he'd be impeached. Simple as that.

He has consistently for 6 years.

His central argument is that he and his aides can break the law whenever he wants.

I didn't know it was illegal to fire people in your staff. That's right! You have never worked a day in your life so you probably don't how employment works!
