I am running windows XP and quite often I get the message "failure to load newdev.dll. Can this be fixed?

I think you've recently installed a new device and/or driver .... the installation is apparently flawed.

Uninstall the new driver and/or device & try again.

It is also possible that the file is missing .. you can download it here & copy it to the "C:\Windows\System32 directory" :

Sounds to me like you have a corrupted file. Try using your operating systems (Windows XP is your operating system) system restore and back up your computer before you started getting this dill file warning. Then run a virus check on your whole system.

If you can , try typing "SFC" command on CMD..
