some really wierd stuff has been happening to me within the last six months. I've been hallucinating alot, both seeing things and hearing things, like bells, and sometime voices (i do not drink/do drugs) I feel delusional, sometimes i can't determine whats real and whats not, and i've become a chronic insomniac (really bad, like not sleeping for days) i get really paranoid sometimes too. so what exactly is wrong with me? I dont know much about metal conditions, but i know that my grandmother had schizophrenia, is it possible i havee some kind of mental condition like that?

It is possible, affects people usually age 19 to 26. If you fall in that range you may need to seek professional help. There are lots of ways to control it these days, so don't feel lost or alone in the matter. But why are you asking that question on here? If you feel something is wrong seek help somewhere besides on here, like your doctor's office. You know?

People who are truly delusional do not know it. If you are in your late teens, early twenties, it could be schizophrenia if you are hearing voices and/or seeing things. Please go see a doctor. Medications for schizophrenia these days are much better than they were in your grandmother's day. The tendency towards schizophrenia can run in families. If you are not sleeping for days on end, then crashing if could be bipolar. Both of these conditions are treatable, lifelong conditions. A good doc can really help.

If you were a boxer who took a lot of head shots, I'd say you had a bleed in your brain. If you didn't suffer any head injury lately, odds are it's still a bleed (stroke) or some type of brain abnormality. Immediately see a neurologist to rule out any physical problem. If there is no organic cause, your gonna have to go the route Tony Soprano went and see a mental health professional, but from the coherent and intelligent manner in which you wrote out you question, odds are you have a neuro issue. Look at the bright side, your still capable of functioning, should you have another stroke, it might incapacitate you, so you caught it in time. Get to a doctor's office immediately.

Sounds like either schizophrenia or mania with psychotic features (I would guess bipolar, but you don't mention depression.) Since your grandmother was schizophrenic, that would point to schizophrenia; however, not all that long ago bipolar was frequently misdiagnosed as schizophrenia. You don't mention your sex or age; but there are distinct age ranges when these illnesses usually present. I would talk to my doctor IMMEDIATELY; things will not be better six months from now.

It is possible, and you should go to a doctor to be diagnosed. It might not be as bad as you are thinking, but you obviously do need some sort of help--be that medication, therapy, a good rest, etc. Only a doctor or other trained professional can determine exactly what is wrong in each individual's own case. Please make an appointment.

you have all the signs of a paranoid schizophrenic. please go see a psychiatrist. since you're grandmother had schizophrenia it greatly increases your chances of having it since schizophrenia is inherited. My Brother is a paranoid schizophrenic and he does the same things like not sleeping for days being paranoid things are after him or like he is in danger and he also hears voices. Seeing things or being delusional and all these symptoms are a red flag for schizophrenia. please go see a doctor, they have medicine that can really help so you can have a normal life.

you should ask your doctor because feeling delusional is not normal especially if you don't do drugs and stuff. You should see your doctor as soon as possible cause it could be anything really.

Please see a psychiatrist ASAP. You may have schizophrenia, which can cause you to begin behaving in bizarre and destructive ways. You must be evaluated and treated as quickly as possible!
