No. The US Attorneys are the heads of their departments. They have deputies and assistants who ensure the casework continues.
I'm working with other lawyers on three different federal cases in the Federal Southern District of California, where Carol Lam was just fired from. All of those cases are continuing.
But many people seem to be missing the concept of why Congress cares about this particular firing.
