29 Answers. . . . 29 and only 2 mentioned ANYTHING positive that they have done . And I disagree with what they called positive. . . .raising minimum wage, BIG DEAL .
That was probably the most 'telling' question ever posted !!!

Cried and stomped their feet a lot. Boasted about what they were going to do. Pissed many people off. Made my family proud to be Republicans. Ted Kennedy had a drink. The Clinton's swapped genders. Al Gore dreamed he invented something really cool and put it in a locked box. I don't know, I'm grasping at straws here. What DID they do? What DID the accomplish? How am I better off today?

2. Spend weeks on meaningless resolutions.
3. Show they cannot lead
4. Help the terrorists by fighting against the President.
5. Put the Republicans back in the hunt to win both houses in 08

Much more to help "We the people", than has been done in the last six years.
They have forced Pres. Bush to stop "Staying the course" in Iraq, and come up with a new strategy.
Are putting a stop to corruption.
Raised the minimum wage for underpaid US workers, and by doing so have made it easier to find businesses who hire and exploit illegal aliens.
They are making Congress the voice of the people again, The role intended for it by the Liberal framers of the Constitution!

...little except continue to blame Republicans and trump up malfeasance where none exists. This is best evidenced by the pressing on to convict Republican Scooter Libby despite the fact that OTHER people knew and BLABBED and published newspaper columns mentioning that the CIA secretary orlittle importance did in fact work for the CIA.
Democrats would LOVE to defund the IRAQ war but just do not have the GUTS to try it.

I just read through 22 answers and only one person was able to mention something that the Democratic Congress has accomplished.
I beg to differ.
They have postured in sound bites.
They have pontificated on talk shows.
They have posed for photo-ops.
And they have proven why their days as the majority party in both houses are already starting to wind down.

Licked Bush's boots. Probably better off sticking with the Republicans. Not a lot of difference between the two.
