I'm 12 weeks pregnant, and my face is a mess. I must admit I didnt have perfect skin before getting pregnant, I had the odd pimple here and there, but my face right now is horrible. And only around my chin. I wash my face twice a day and have stopped wearing makeup for the last couple of weeks, so I would think it would get better...Nope only worse. It seems everytime I go look in the mirror there is another zit. Its so frustrating. Is there anything I can do, or are there others going through this? Thanks in advance.

:( Unfortunetely, putting certain topical creams and masks on your face can be harmful to the baby (ie, Benzoil Peroxide, mud masks with astralagus, ect). You can check with your OBGYN about what's safe. I like the Queen Helene products because they're mostly natural and not too expensive (you can buy them at Family Dollar). Pure clay works well, only if nothing else is added in. But ALWAYS check every ingredient to make sure it's safe for the baby.

Say thank you to your hormones. Some people look beautiful pregnant- the rest of us look like trailer trash. It will go away, just be careful so you don't leave any scars. You can use acne cream, just dot it literally on the pimples and not the rest of your face or you risk drying out your skin. Be careful when you wash your face, you don't want to do it too harshly. Be gentle. This to shall pass. Congrats on the baby!!!!

they say when a women getting ugly when pregnant, its a boy but the thruth is when your face is getting rough while pregnant its because of the "hormone" that we have. for example progesterone & estrogen, the level of this hormone i think its high during pregnancy.
i advise you not to use any kind of exfoliating cream or iontment because this will effect the fetus inside your womb. just wash your face with tap water & mild soap 3x a day, & its up to you to use make up to cover those pimple but dont forget to remove your make up when you are at home.
you will expect also that your skin under armpit, in your neck will getting darker than your normal skin, but dont worry thats normal.
good luck.

I really don't think there is much you can do. Its because of your hormones. I had it when I was pregnant. It went away when I was 5 or 6 months pregnant. Its hard but it doesn't last 4-ever. If it really bothers you talk to your doctor, maybe there come kind of cream they could give you that might help.

Its your hormones because of the pregnancy. I was like that during my pregnancy, too. Especially the first part. Then things cleared up a bit. Then I had my baby, and BOOM, I had tons of zits again. I think it just happens when our bodies and hormones change.
Congrats on your pregnancy. :)

HI,
Im in the same boat! Jump aboard! I have tried everything too. Nothing works. Its all to do with pregnancy hormones.
It goes away after pregnancy.
