Bats aren't creepy at all. In fact bats contribute a wealth of importance to the world. Some species of bats help to pollinate tropical flowers.

The problem lies in misconception, and distortion in the movie industry. Instead of portraying the animals for their good qualities, the movie industry generally portrays them as viciously aggressive animals that attack people.

Don't believe everything you see on television. 98% of the time, the information is inaccurate or modified for marketing purposes.

I think it's their faces. They've got all that get-up for using sonar and the front of their faces definitely look different from the easily recognizeable features that other mammals have. But I don't think it's creepy. I think it's very charming and they're cute as buttons with their squashed up little noses they use to navigate with, and their delicate little wings. And I love the way they swoop around my head on a warm summer evening feasting on all the mosquitoes that are trying to feast on me. Thanks bats!

I don't find them creepy at ALL. I actually think they are fascinating creatures. They play an important role in the ecosystem by ridding it of harmful insects such as mosquitos, and as pollinators or many fruits. Here are some photos bats that I think are cute:
