Just go to your local tackshop and look for stable postings. You can also look online or in your state's Horsemans news (avail at a tack shop) I have no clue where weatherford is.

Anyways, with you being 14, you probably will not be able to handle/lead most horses for liability reasons. The insurance to cover someone under 18 (possibly 16) is way too much for a stable owner to want to risk. If you get hurt, your parents could sue (even if you and them sign a liability agreement). Your best bet is to offer to help with cleaning stalls and eventually work your way up. Once the owner sees how responsible you are, you may be able to work your way up to riding the beginner horses and move on from there.

If you talk to a small family stable, you may be able to eventually work horses- but right now, just ask if they need any help cleaning stalls. The rest of the stuff will eventually come with it.

good luck on your search.

You might be able to get a job a vet clinic. I am not sure if the age will hurt you or not, but I know there is a big vet clinic over by Tesky's in Weatherford. You may try there first, or even look into a riding therapy program. It may only be a volunteer thing, but at least it would get your foot in the door. You may want to try asking over at Tesky's saddle shop, since all the horse people come over there to shop. They may know of someone looking for some summer help.

Good Luck!

No. I work at a barn with 24 stalls. It is a great job. It makes you strong and fit too. My boss is hiring Tues-Fridays, cause I changed to just weekends, because I am homeschooling my daughter now. It is called Penny Oak Stables in Noblesville, IN if you are close to that. If not it is a great summer or after school job where ever you live. Good luck.

Owning a horse rescue and being a instructor to the rescue horses and different horses to make a few earnings to help the rescue facet. Money does not subject to me so long as I have adequate to survive and maintain the industry going, I'm all approximately having a lucrative process that you simply love and are well at.

I assume that you ride, or have ridden or something to that extent. Talk to all the horse people you know, they always seem to know someone that has something available. Maybe try to go around to some of the local barns and ask them if they have any openings for someone to work. Also, asking around at tack shops or putting up a "Service Available" poster at some would be a good idea.
