The way I was learned wuz a Good O-Fence is the best D-Fence.
So I always makes sure I'm nekkid whens I drive and also to shout obscenties and play Conway Twitty CDs at an unreasonable level of volume.

You absolutely have to, these days. At every traffic light I see at least one car run the red light. I see people make left turns from the right lane, I see people stop on the expressway, I see people talking on the &#^$ phones and not paying a bit of attention to what is going on around them....Darn right I drive defensively!

At about 70 mile an hour in a 55 mile an hour zone, I scour the ditches for deer that are about to run out in front of me. Does that count?

I always watch the vehicles around me.
I check all mirrors frequently, make sure I know where every car is around me and watch several cars ahead of me.
