I just use to same OB/GYN that i have gone to since i was 15 years old. I didn't really get to choose him, my mom just sorta made the app. and bam! i was in his office the next day. ::lol:: But i have just grown use to him i guess over the years. And i feel comfortable going to him. He is considerate, very thorough, and consistent with check ups. I mean you can call this man at 2 am at his home, and he will be so considerate to your problems. Plus he is the best OB/GYN in the area. So that is why i chose him for my pregnancy. :p
Things i dislike about him,..... I can't really think of anything. As a doctor, you couldn't ask for more.

Well I wanted a male doctor so that lead me to check into male OB's.. Also with my daughter I was on medicaid so you are limited to the doctor you can choose.. When we moved and got settled into our house I called around and found a male ob close to the house.. The first visit he was very nice and answered all my questions.. In away I guess the reason I wanted a male doctor was so that my labor and delivery wouldnt be compared to that of a female doctor.. Women handle pain different and knowing that and hearing story from other women I wanted it to be my experience not a comparison to somebody elses.. I am now pregnant with baby #2 and using the same OB/Gyn...

The first one I chose because I had been going to him anyways for regular female stuff. I didn't care for him as an OB because he didn't take the time I thought he should take to listen. The second one was a group of women. I loved them. They cared and were concerned. Allowed you to call whenever you needed to ask anything, no matter how stupid it seemed. You have to be comfortable with your OB and trust them.

I chose mine because he had delivered my husband and I. I was looking around but chose him when my mother in law told me that he had saved hers and my husband's lives. I guess the ob/gyn she had left her lying on the delivery table trying to get her to push. She told him to get a doctor in there that knew what they were doing. Dr. R. came in and said she needed an emergency c-section. Another few hours and my mother in law and husband wouldn't be here. After she told me that, my decision was made. The only thing I didn't like was that he didn't fully explain things to me. I had complications during both pregnancies. Each time I was diagnosed with something, he didn't tell me the names. I researched and found out what was going on. With my second, he told me that my placenta was tearing away from my uterus. Well after coming home and reading my book, I found out it was called Placenta Abruptio.

Word of mouth. I was new to the area and just asked around and almost everyone I talked to suggested him. I have no issues with him though he is the first male doctor. I have always gone to a female.

I called the hospital and they recommended mine. I loved him. I seen him so often during my pregnancy and he always joked and had a great sense of humor. He delivered my little angel so I will always feel like he is special to me.

My insurance company chose for me.. It is a group practice. Fortunatily I like all of them. Basicly If they are nice, not creepy in any way, and listen to me, I'm ok.
