I'm not American and he was considerably before my 'time'

But all I know that Kennedy did was
1) Start the Vietnam war.
2) Nearly bring the world to the brink of distruction because of the Cuban misslie crisis
3)And most of the civil rights improvements happens after Kennedy

So what did he do that was so good?

I think most historians would agree that opinions of Kennedy have declined over time.

I think your talking points are mistaken in the following ways:
1) America entered the Vietnam war when France pulled out. Kennedy didn't start it.
2) Kennedy was reacting to Russian missiles in Cuba. It was a poker game that I think most people would say he played well.
3) The political will (within the Federal Government) to progress civil rights came in no small part as a result of the assassination of a popular president.

My opinion is that Reagan is the most overrated U.S. president. By the way, most historians place Reagan with Kennedy and Carter in the middle of the pack as presidential accomplishments go.

There's no such thing as a perfect president. I think the only politician I've ever really liked was Benjamin Franklin.

It was the "times". The Country desperately seeking answers, "Camelot" seemed the way to go. Now, Jackie, that was one class act of a woman.

A lot of Presidents who were assassinated could be painted as overated. If people liked him...then that's good enough for me.
