I have the sims 2 and the university expansion. I'm not quite ready for the next expansion, but I'd love to have some more 'stuff' for my Sims. Are the Family Fun pack and Seasons pack considered to be expansions, or just add on fluff? Is there an order I'd have to install them in, like the original sims?

If you just want stuff get the stuff packs - not sure what they are going for now they were around 20 us dollars
but for free stuff check out the sims 2 web site
or http://www.binessimsrevue.de/ these guys do daily finds of sims websites and they have great free stuff to download as well

sims 2 seasons are expansions pack that means there's some added command to the game. its affects the game, giving it's 4 seasons.. example your sims character can build snowman in winter.. go ice skating..
family fun pack is just an add-on, which just add some on items.

The available stuff packs are Family Fun, Glamour Life, and I think they might have Christmas Holiday one as well. And another one is Celebration.
The EPs are Uni, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, and I think they announced another one.
Stuff packs are cheaper and usually come with more themed items and new clothes, wallpapers, floors, houses, and objects. Eps are usually much more elaborate and new gameplay.

the seasons is not a stuff pack, family fun is a stuff pack and i think the expansions are better than the stuff packs

for my area, I abhor Pets. there became little, if something, i got here upon redeeming that wasn't coated in sequential enlargement packs (re: Bon Voyage, Seasons). Plus, the werewolf wasn't that exciting of an thought, nor became having pets any interest (fairly thinking your selections have been delegated to canines, cats, a wamrat, and a fowl... not something cool like snakes or such...) Pets, to me, became a great permit down. I enjoyed OfB, yet i does not call it the ideal EP (that honor is going to Seasons for me, for my area). possessing your guy or woman shops became a cool function, build up "badges" (even though it became a constrained* function). reality learn, i might advise college. It expands your existence some extra weeks (in case you do not do the "getting older off" cheat, which i merely approximately consistently do, besides...), yet opens 3 extra exciting occupation fields (come on, a guy ingesting cow plant... what's to not love approximately THAT?!?!) * by using constrained function, I advise in case you're build up your flower arranging, it does not help which includes your gardening skills, nor does your contemporary capacity point certainly advance your getting to grasp capacity. meaning, having a extreme Mechanical capacity shouldn't assist you build robots and benefit badge factors swifter...

if you just want stuff buy the stuff packs but if you want my advise, i'd say get season and nightlife. if ou dont want to pay for it you can register your game on the sims 2.com and get custom content and its really awesome. the suff packs arnt that great i think they are kinda stupid but seasons is really awesome.

Seasons is an expantion. Family Fun stuff is stuff (more objects, floor, paint, clothes, wall paper etc)
