Do you need to write a long poem, short poem, funny, etc?? well, i'll give it a shot. u can do a play on words:
Greenland is and ice land
Iceland is a green land
Iceland/Green land
Greenland/ Iceland

(i know it's silly.)

um... or this one...it's not much better...

Greenland is icy
Iceland is green
Do you see what I see?
These names aren't what they seem!

Lemme know if you need something more serious...

First, don't try to rhyme Greenland or Iceland in your poem: just don't put them at the ends of lines.

Then Google or try Wikipedia for each one and pick up on things that make each one different. And make sure you pick out words that can be rhymed without too much trouble, such as
land of ice - not precise, entice, device, twice
land of green - beauty seldom seen, convene
icy mass - smooth as glass, morass,
snowy tower - winter's power, flower, bower, cower

Hope this gives you some ideas - :)

I came up with a few more thoughts for "rhyming ends of lines," but you'll have to come up with the beginnings of each line to tie the two phrases together. Here they are:

Iceland
North Atlantic Ocean - set things in motion.
the sturdy Icelandic horse - (Icelandic) language is closest to
Old Norse.
with winters windy and mild - for an Icelandic child.

Greenland
Largest island in the world - red-and-white flag unfurled.
All the towns are on the ice-free coast - sightings of Erik the
Red's ghost?
Greenland's gigantic ice cap - clearly seen on any map.

Good luck - :)

there are cities there with names too.
they are islands.
