Ah to conquer ones own pride, you must first find out where that sense of pride comes from. If it comes from somthing that you do usually, than you may want to cut down on that habit, or discontinue it

Humility is to be humble. In otherwords, not to see yourself as more important than someone else and not to pride yourself as being better than others.

Here's an example of an act of humility during the Holy Mass in St. John Lateran Basilica in Rome, Thursday April 13, 2006.

Pope Benedict XVI poured water from a golden vase over 12 men's feet and scrubbed each one dry in an act of humility and service.

Perhaps humilty is best described by John Selden -

"Humility is a virtue all preach, none practice; and yet everybody is content to hear."
