It's kinda "in", but mostly people are just lazy.
I'm fourteen, and I was raised to be respectful. Being respectful does not include wearing your pajamas in public. That's just sloppy.
And some people wear them to school, too. That's rude to the teachers, who get up at four every morning to do things FOR THEIR STUDENTS. Put a little effort into it for them.
Not to be preachy, because people can do whatever they want, but they aren't really "in." They're just people who stopped caring.

The majority of people that I know, including myself, wouldn't be caught dead in pajamas in public. However, I have seen girls wearing pajama pants to school, but this is not a widespread trend that I've noticed. Our school does have "pajama days", though, although most girls don't exactly wear pajama pants that day (you know, much more revealing stuff is the norm . . . . I'm not gonna go there). Hope this helps you!

its sort of old bc since 2006 actually every one in my school use to come to school in their pajamas, well almost everyone(not including me). It got to the point where the school had to make a dress code rule about not wearing ur pajamas to school.lol, but then again I'm from Tx and your from Pa so that's weird how teens all over the us practically where the same stuff.

I graduated high school last year, and I can say that the only reason I ever wore pajamas, or still do, is just being tired, stressed, not caring, or dont have time. Especially in college. People just dont care as much as they used to.

girl, that is not fashion that is lazy slobs that are to lazy and slobish to throw on a pair of real pants to go out of the house. Cheap girls think they can just throw on a pair of PJ's and look so hot if they tuck them in to their uggs...this is not fashion it's trashy trends brought on by all the mall rats.
"I don't understand how a woman can leave the house without fixing herself up a little - if only out of politeness. And then, you never know, maybe that's the day she has a date with destiny. And it's best to be as pretty as possible for destiny."- Coco Chanel.

Hi, I haven't seen this but it sounds like a stupid trend. Some people will do anything for attention - sad, but true. Anyway, you are not an old lady at 48 yrs old unless you choose to believe it, so don't. Seriously !

these are the kind of teen girls that don't care about what they wear as long as it is comfy. This is and will probably never be a trend these girls are just slops and should never go in public like that. I don't know why these girls moms don't ask them if they really are gong to wear that out because sometimes my mom complains if i am in sweatpants and we aren't even leaving home

People at my school do it and I just think that they look lazy. I would NEVER EVER be caught dead wearing pajamas out in public or slippers. I do not think its stylish neither do I think it looks good. It looks like they just jumped right out of bed!!!!
I'm 15, by the way. The ages that I see wearing pajamas and slippers are around 13-16. Its pathetic. ( Spelt that wrong =] )

I guess it's a new "trend," but I think most of us would call it laziness. It might be comfortable, but there are so many different choices to make in the form of clothes that I'm sure we can all find clothes meant to be worn in public that are just as comfortable, and much more appropriate, than cotton nighttime duckies.
I have to admit, though, some girls p.j.'s cover more than there actual clothes!

Haha. My mom wonders the same thing. I don't think that it's something that is 'in'. Well, not for me. When im lazy, I go places with pajama pants on just because they're comfortable. And when im with my friends, its fun to be in your pajamas and go out places.
