sounds like a 1st printing.
First prints had 30 cent and 35 cent issues.
Up in the upper left corner near the price-it would have a small block saying 'reprint' -running along the egde-near the top staple-if it was one first level reprints.

there are ALOT of star wars comic around, meaning there are also alot of different #1 issues around
but your one cost 30c, so that means it must be pretty old
run a few searches on google and such for star wars vintage comics and see if any you find match yours
another thing you could do is take it to the local comic book store and ask the owner about it, he may know a thing or two
