if you want to, go right ahead. If it were me, treat it like the fact that you are male: if they don't ask, don't bother.

I don't think it really matters. Be yourself. If they are lucky enough to know you, then they can know you!!

I've tested this stereotype thing before. It seems that the world can deal with knowing that you are gay. So if you "act out" the stereotype, that puts them at ease for some reason. When people don't know, they get all weird. Still, I'm not going to act on their behalf.

Stereotypes are pointless, and are wrong at least 75% of the time. It sounds like what you really need to do is figure out if you're really comfortable enough with your sexuality to start telling people. If you really are, I'd say go for it.

I think it depends on how you live your life.
I have a hard time with gay society. Personally I like a variety of people around me and although I am gay I do not identify with gay culture.
I am more of a mans man and I do not feel the need to tell everyone I am gay. I don't hide it or deny it if it comes up and I am honest about who I am but I rarely make a statement like "I am gay".
If people like me they like me for me...regardless of my sexual preference.

1) Stereotypes don't bloody matter. 2) Who and how you come out are entirely up to you. You don't even have to, if you don't want to, or don't feel comfortable doing so, but you shouldn't have to hide who or how you are.

I never fit the stereotype...but I now tell everyone..just because it's the truth..It's who/what I am.

NO you don't have to tell everybody that you are gay. If they ask, it means they are interested in knowing more about you. You only tell if they ask, simple as that.

I tell people if it comes up. I'm not going to lie, and I'm not going to passively allow them to continue to believe their false assumptions about me.

i dont think they need to know something like that... unfortunately, you might lose a good friend or two who are, surprisingly homophobic. if someone asks then its up to you if you want to tell them, but otherwise, they dont need to know that, its your business and yours only
