It depends because how the baby is feeling... is this your first?... if soo do not worry about it soo much just Got to the ER if you feel different... if you are worried about you being in labor and if you are worried about your baby just go to the ER and see if everything is under control... ha one more question is it a girl or a boy and congrates... well the baby is going into the birth canal ready to be born if you are in 2 cm dilating then you know what be prepared to become a new mommy... so do not worry about it the baby is moving down into the Birth canal and as soon as you push she or he will be crowning of the head.. this is easier for the baby to be born.. also they will tell you when to push and when to stop.. you might feel the contractions ready to push with or with out in apatorial... This is when you have a shot in your back that nombs you from the waist down so you do not feel alot of pain...they will as soon as the baby is born they will put the baby on your chest so you bound for the very first time... Then they have to take the baby to the little bed that they have for the baby for them to check it and clean the baby up and then they will give the baby back to you so you can bound some more... welll good luck and again i will like to give my congrates to you...

Before I went into labor the baby stayed very active--my OB told me that the baby should not slow it's activity--even during labor. I am not suggesting there is anything wrong with your baby, he/she could just be lazy for now but if you get real concerned go to labor and delivery and they will check you out on a monitor just to make sure baby is doing ok. I had it done once during my pregnancy and it turned out ok. Good luck and congrats on the pregnancy!!

i think so, yes. There's a lot less room in there and all your muscles are pushing the baby into a narrower space so it makes sense. If you are concerned about anything though, go straight to the hospital!! They are trained for things like this. Plus, I don't think you lose your mucus plug slowly. It either stays in or comes out. See a midwife/doctor

Your baby moves less because he is cramped, he has taken up all of the room and now he is ready to come out. I bet most babies are uncomfortable! So yes they move less when labor is near plus they are getting in their station to be delivered.
Good Luck and Congratulations!

Yes the baby does move less when labor comes close. When I first went into labor I was terrified because I could not feel my baby move. At the hospital they told me that it was normal and I relaxed when I could hear her heartbeat. I am sure you will be having your baby very soon. Good luck!

Yes, the baby moves much less just before going into labor. It happend in all four of my pregnancies. it is like they are resting before the final push of labor. Good Luck

Make sure your getting the required amount of movements per hour. If not call your doctor. But if you are don't worry, as others have said there is less room in there.

Much less. It's entered the birth canal and there is very little room in there. Plus it needs all of it's energy for birth.
