Medical schools don't even look at your high school transcript and i would not recommend taking AP science classes because if you end up majoring in one of them you have to retake the class in college that's the $84 or how much you pay for the AP test gone down the drain...but you could take the classes to see if science is something you actually want to do...I wanted to be a biologist but after taking AP Bio i realized how much i hated it and then i decided to see if Chemistry was my calling and took AP Chem and realized hey that's not my calling either...so now since I'm not majoring in any science i don't have to take the classes over and don't have to worry about taking them in college

What you have taken in high school has nothing to do with medical school. They are going to want your college transcripts, not your high school ones. so first you have to get into a college, choose a major, take pre-med classes, get great grades, then apply to medical schools. whether or not you can is going to be up to you. Yes honors and AP classes help prepare you for college level classes, you can succeed in college without haven taken any in high school

It looks better on your transcript than taking regular classes. And it's even better once you pass the AP tests.

But you don't HAVE to.

Do as much as you can and you should be fine.

Just try to keep your grades as high as you can and do some good extracurriculars, especially community service!!!

BTW
That would only help you get into a good college for your BA. Medical school is after that.

Medical schools like candidates who have a background in many things and take part in extra curicular activities.. You need several science courses, but not science exclusively. They also like you to have several years of a foreign language. When you go to college, continue taking a foreign language and talk to the academic advisor about what courses to take to prepare for med school. It is also a good idea to call a couple of med schools and ask their admissions department what they look for in their applicants.
