I need help on a thesis subject any ideas?

This paper is suppose to be argument based research paper. I have never written one before and i am just a freshman in college who got a ged and have never i mean never had to write a paper like this until now I do not know where to begin and it has to be 5/7 pages. So I f anyone can help plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz talk to me feel free to email me also.

Here's an example of a first paragraph

Homer's "Odyssey", from the time of Sparta and Athens comes a grand story of adventure, family loyalty and the fealty of one woman for her husband. It is that woman, Penolope, who's loyalty to her husband, Odysseus, makes her one of Ancient literature's most cunning heroines. Homer's Epic poem tells the story of two married people, one loyal, one disloyal and how each reacts when the temptation of another person arises. In a world dominated by men she is portrayed as an intelligent and cunning woman that staves off the Suitors hoping that one day her husband will return. However, Odysseus isn't as loyal as his wife. .

The above is an example of an english essay...it may be written differently if you are writing a scientific essay. But the concept is the same.

write whether you think that violence on tv causes more violence. remember if you think it does you have 2 b able 2 back it up. or pick a topic that interests you that u can argue, and back it up!!! good luck. u could choose topics on video games, etc.
