Ben's plan and agenda was easy to see. I only wonder how and "when" he figured out Locke was going to do what he did. Way back when Ben was a prisoner of the Survivors and he was coercing Locke because he knew Locke believed in "The Island"?
The interesting fact to me now is... other than the electrical fence, if Ben's people really believe the only way off the island is the sub, does that now make the Survivors vs. the Others more powerful now?
Is that the reason why they bring Lockes only weakness (his father) into the next episode? If Locke (as he and Ben also perceives) is "one" with the island, and Ben is still crippled by the island in which he has lived on his whole life. Does Ben think the bigger threat to his existence and leadership come from Locke now vs. Jack? Bringing Locke's dad out of the closet is a ploy to bring Locke to his knees again and cripple him mentally. So he cannot lead a group against the others. Jack is no longer a threat to Ben... he just wants off, and now Jack hates Locke and his old buddies for messing him up instead of Ben now.
But I can forsee a everyone against Locke scenario pretty soon. He blew up the hatch... he blew up the communication center, now the sub. He is one dead SOB. LOL!!! :-)

This episode was so great. I loved every minute of it. I always had it in the back of my mind that Locke wanted to stay on the island because he isn't in the wheelchair anymore. I am curious about his dad showing up in the "box." Also, Ben is really going to pull one over on Jack because he said his friends could go when "he left the island." Knowing all well, that Ben wanted Locke to destroy the submarine. He didn't want to let anyone go and Locke actually helped him. I wonder what Ben has in store for Locke? Does he want to learn from him because of the healing properties of the island? I think so. I think it was an outstanding episode and I can't wait till next week! :)

What do I think about that episode? Three letters: O.M.G!!!
That episode should quiet up the "Lost has gotten stupid now...more questions that answers..blah blah blah" naesayers for now. I still can't believe about how Locke ended up in the wheelchair. I know Ben *aka He Who Shall Be Called Henry Gale* thinks of Locke as one of the "good ones" but I so so so so want Locke to kill his father! I don't even care HOW the Others knew about him, let alone where to find him. I want him buried so low he will have to look up to see Hell!! That *edited for content >)* prig is just as evil as Ben.
I understand why Locke wants to keep blowing up hatches and subs, but I don't think all hope of finding Oceanic Flight 815 is over.
Finally, who is going to die next week. Well, so far we know it isn't Jack, Sawyer or Sun. Charlie is too obviously *even though Desmond has predicted it about 4 times now*. Seeing Sun scared me..PLEASE PLEASE don't let it be Jin who dies!!!! Hurley and he are my two faves!

The next season or two are flashing in front of my eyes - an alient artefact (the large room where everything I wish for materializes) and then exploration of the aliens who left it (are they still on the Island?), flashbacks in the past lives of the Others about the cult on the mainland who brainwashes people to then send them to a lifetime placement on the island (and are the aliens behind this cult?), the survivors and the Others joining forces to combat bigger threats ( e.g. the aliens), etc. etc. etc.

It was awesome, I have to admit some of the stuff I knew because I cannot help but read spoilers, but the ending with Locke's dad being there..... way too cool.
