Should the mexican flag be flown over the capitol building in Washington DC so there will be no question exactly which country our elected officials represent?

My opinion:
They represent the United States of America - not Mexico. Only the US Flag belongs on US Goverment buildings. The Mexican flag belongs on Mexican Goverment buildings.

I think we have whole heatedly welcomed many nations into this country good and bad. The elected officials that we vote into office should represent us. We are still America after all. Lets not start giving it away just yet OK?

Actually they represent people who don't recognize any flag.
The poor Mexicans who are trying to get here are simply victims of globalization, just like the rest of us. And I'm not referring to the criminals who come in with the hard working Mexicans.
Everyone knows that illegal immigration could be stopped today if the people who hire them were treated like the criminals that they are.

You're making no sense. The Stars & Stripes represent Americans. A Mexican flag has nothing to do with anything.

Immigration doesn't just come from Mexico. Obviously your elected officials are a bit more educated than you are. However, they do represent the American flag as they are elected officials who represent American citizens.

oh hell yeh. lets get some middle eastern countries out there too. like iraq and iran. hell, make it flag day every day. maybe what we reall y should do is dissolve what would no longer be cool (usa) maybe it should go down like the soviet union. it should just be america and take in the north and south whether the like it or not. or we break up into dozens of republics like bosnia and such. so many opportunities and nationality is so passe. lets ban all flags. you know, like banning cigs in public places and spanking children. arrest more people build more jails and maike them work like in auto plants and coal mines for free until they pay for their crimes and congress sets the price.

Yeah in Mexico maybe we Americans should take their land on the beach. There's alot of work there now and hey I can use some beach time!!

Wow - what a great suggestion.
I certainly hope you haven't given the congress any ideas. This would at least let the rest of us know exactly where they stand and eliminate a lot of the speculation of exactly what they're thinking.
Come to think of it - exactly what are they thinking?
