Good question. Hulk has the incredible rage and strength. While the thing has the defense and strength. Huh, I'd go with the thing. Defense and he doesnt just have to get angry to turn into the hulk. SO the thing.

Hulk always seems to win in these battles between the two of them, or the other FF show up and scare him off. The first meeting of the two was way back in the early 60's and all the FF fought the Hulk. They are both good guys but the Hulk is usually treated as a bad guy in the other books. The Thing has defeated Hulk robots made by Dr. Doom (Hulk #350) and also has gone toe to toe with the weaker Grey Hulk (#368 i think), but the Green Hulk almost always wins these confrontationjs

It is hard to imagine the two ever fighting, due to their being heroes, yet the Hulk would clearly win. The Thing is superhumanly powerful, but the Hulk is capable of being exponentially more powerful. The Hulk has done feats impossible for Thing to do: regenerate almost all body mass after critical damage, survive in the ocean and it's pressure(breathing with an internal gas organ), leap miles-long stretches, and even destroy a planet-sized comet. The Thing has a stable mind and level of power, but only that level of superstrength; the Hulk can become enraged and easily surpass that level of power (though on occasion has been tricked from transforming fully).
In short, in a normal brawl, the Hulk would win.

Great question, they both match up pretty nicely together... I'm actually going to lean toward The Thing, only because I believe he would out wit The Hulk. The Hulk is nothing but rage, no thought or no REAL strategy to his attacks. Nothing but pure rage and muscle.
Though if you were to get technical, with The Hulk's incredible power, speed and overall aggression there would ALSO be a good chance that he'd own The Thing. Of course it's a 50/50 toss up as to who might win, though whose to tell? Hopefully they might make an episode where the two clash for once, even though both of them are bad guys... Great question!

The Hulk, no question for me. In addition to his immeasurable superhuman strength, there is his superhuman stamina, and resistance to physical damage. While the Thing has these powers and abilities as well, the Hulk’s only increases with the further agitation of his emotional state, and one can only guess how angry he would become in a battle with such an adversary as the Thing. Another important factor is that while the Thing has had his skin penetrated by bullets and proven to not be entirely invulnerable, Hulk has the remarkable ability to regenerate any part of his body suffering physical damage and in rapid time. Recovering from any wounds he would sustain in combat is, for me the main reason, the Hulk would eventually win over the Thing.

They have fought before. This was when FF was a new comic, and the Hulk was treated like a crimminal in every book except his own. The Hulk generally wore the Thing out. Hulk would still win, because he is stronger than Thing, and is now able to use his brain more rather than raging.

According to Stan Lee himself, the Hulk is almost immortal and becomes the last man on Earth after a nuclear war kills all the heroes and man becomes extinct. Based on that alone I'll say the Hulk, besides that over the years the Hulk, jugganaut and onslaught have made a joke of the thing.

The Hulk as he is now has the strength and intelligence to beat the Thing pretty easily. He is not simple minded so the Thing cant outwit him and he's always had the edge in sheer power. The thing would not give in easily but the Hulk would have no problem taking him down.

Its been pretty well established in the comics that Hulk is stronger than Ben Grimm aka The Thing. Also the angrier Hulk gets the stronger he gets. Ben can hold his own for awhile but eventually Hulk would win out ( and has ).

Hulk.
While the Thing still has Ben Grimm in him, The Hulk loses it and turns into a berserker. No logic or restraint. Plus, didn't the Marvel heroes kick him out of their League (I can't remember the name.) because he was unpredictable and they couldn't stop him? If the members of Marvel's elite insert-name-here League couldn't beat him, how could the Thing?
