I would pause the world for the most peaceful, joyous day in history!
Any particular day is fine; where people are content with their lives and the future doesn't seem so ominous. Any day where families can spend quality time with each other, work doesn't seem so demanding and the world around us isn't suffering.
Does this day exist? Now, THAT is the question!

Hmmmmmmmm, I would pause the world for a lot of things I sometimes hear said things in the news reports and just think If I could I would pause the world before anything could have happened to that child but then I realize I am the type of person that would have done something if I knew or suspected something wrong was going on and I would have done my job by reporting it.

Not such an easy question since you limit to only one world situation, and there are do many pressing issues. But....I would stop the rise of terrorism in all its forms. Reason: If this were to somehow magically stop, much of the violence and harted between the people of this planet would be contained to nonviolent expressions. and other equally important issues could then be addressed.

Hmm....that's a really good question. If I could pause the world then I'd also be able to fast forward and rewind. I would be able to do a lot and I would have a good time doing it.
