so my boyfriend needs to know how you connect to xbox live when using a wireless router that has a password set up. soo if you could tell me where to go to type in the password on the xbox that would be great.

it is the 360... and the adaptor i have is not the original one that microsoft made so it doesnt register as wireless but it says it is a wired connection but it always works at my house and i have no password setup

LOL, go to connection options , go to wireless configeration, and have it search for the connection, enter the password when prompted to.
NOTE: Not all wifi security setups are compatible with xbox live, so it might not work.

I don't have the answer, but if you go to www.xbox.com they actually have diagrams and detailed explanations of what to do.
Basically you have to make your router acknowledge the xbox has a right to the network.
