it's his loss. if he wants to miss out on something wonderful, fine.
your child could still have a father some day, even if it is not a biological father.

You can not force someone to be a father if he does not want to. You can force him to pay child support but that is all. If you are pregnant then you have to decide if you want to raise a child alone or not. You can give the baby up for adoption so he or she does have two parents or you can keep the baby and raise it alone. I am sure that you will make the right decision. Keep in mind you will not always be alone and could find a wonderful man someday who loves both you and your child. I know some people who had wonderful step-parents who they loved more then their own parents. Good luck.

Whatever feedback you'll get here or from your ex, the only thing that counts is what you'll decide. There is no right or wrong here. It's YOUR life.
Please, take this decision yourself.
Being a mother is the most beautiful and rewarding thing in the world. If you are or not ready for it (age, family situation, etc), at the end, it's you that will live it.
Good luck!

You sound like you are pretty young. Before making any decisions consult the advice of a counselor or visit this website: www.OptionLine.org. If the father is choosing not to be there then you have to make the decision whether or not your ready to be a single mom. I wish you the best of luck in whatever decision you make.

How typical of males to impregnate and run away. On the other hand you can't bind him down with a kid and of course you are also responsible because you did not protect yourself. First find out if you are pregnant, then consider some counseling to decide what you will do in case you are.

Whether he's ready or not, if he is the father he has legal responsibilities. Unfortunatley you may have to go that route. I wish you the best in finding someone who will love you both unconditionally, He's out there somewhere, I promise you that. Just be the best Mom you can be.

I am a single parent and I also wanted my son to have father but he turned out to be deadbeat just like the man that you were with. You can be a strong single parent woman forget that man and raise your child alone you can do it. I will keep you in my prayers.

First go to Planned Parenthood or a doctor and find out if you are actually pregnant. After you find out if you are really pregnant then you can start making some plans and decisions.
