I doubt you did serious damage, but it's possible. It will probably subside if you try to "rest" it for a while. When I was a radio announcer, I would get my "air" voice ready on the way to work, by vocal exercises such as sounding like a fire truck, etc...If it's not better in a couple of weeks, you might see a Dr.

Whenever you have a change in your voice, one should go to an "Ear,Nose and Throat"
Doctor. He will check your throat for any problems. I think this would be the safest and best way to revive your voice. Good
luck.

Try putting the honey into some hot tea, with lots of lemon before a show. ( A little booze helps too!)

Okay here's what you need to do: gargle with salt water, If that doesn't work then, Don't talk for a day and gargle salt water, and if that doesn't work then go to your local ear nose and throat doctor he'll tell you what you did.
Hope this information helps.

try giving it mouth to mouth - and check for a pulse..
or seriously , they reckon a teaspoon of honey before a show , it soothes and helps with holding notes.

mix a fresh egg with 3 spoons of cognac/brandy and add a few sugar. drink it slowly, keep it in your mouth as long as you can before swallowing.
in most cases this helps pretty much.
