Depends on what kind of files you have and what you want to do with them.. you can burn them onto a dvd using a right software.... or you can burn them on to a normal cd as a video cd with the correct software....

You can use either DVD or VCD to burn either data or video. Using proper software you can decide if you want to burn video or data on your DVD/VCD.
