There's no doubt that England's football team has many talented individuals. Although, they have many worthy opponents, as witnessed in the last World Cup in Germany. However, Beckham did announce his retirement, so it is up to the others to put in an even better performance against Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, and Portugal in South Africa in 2010.

Yes, England rules - if you are talking only about within Great Britain! England is good enough to be ranked in the top 20 teams in the world, but certainly not the top 10. And boy, is "Becks" overrated!
One of England's big problems is that it's top pro leagues feature way too many foreigners, not giving England's up-and-coming younger talent a chance to get top level experience. I think all countries would be better off if the number of foreign players on each team, and actually on the field, was limited, as it used to be.

england is a great team, though surprises me that they hav only won one world cup and hav the best league in the world. they hav great skill such as the following you mentioned. there line up is so good including rooney and ferdinand and even walcott. I love ther team becxuz they hav so much compassion for the game and they play very strong and tho they may not win every game and not on top of their group in the euro 2008 qualifier thingy, i love to watch them play.

They have an incredible amount of talent, though seem to be missing that creativity to put them over the top. Lower tier teams are often able to frustrate them.

No team in the world is so disappointing as England. They are always expected to win everything, and never win anything. Sorry.

thier good but not good enough to win the fifa world cup like Italy who has Buffon as portero ,alessandro nesta ,fabio cannavaro toni ,francessco totti ,matterazi, and many more talented soccer players

Maradona,Pele,Batistuta,Ronaldo,Messi,Ronaldhino,Ayala,Roberto Carlos,Requelme who is better now england players or them
