before you go tanning, exfoliate in the shower- this prepares your skin for the new pigment it is about to adapt. also, use a little sunscreen under your tanning oil, or use an oil with a low spf. this will ensure the retaining of healthy skin cells and make your tan last longer.

yeah...before you go tanning, even if thats outdoors or indoors, make sure you exfoliate your skin very well...cuz dead skin cells will go away, so when u get a tan its gonna last longer and its gonna be more even.
also...get some supplements...B-caroten which is also found in carrots...which helps your skin cells and skin in general to tan easier. its a totally natural vitamin so theres nothing chemical to it.

i have heard that you can shave a tan off. so with your legs maybe try not shaving like as much as before. that will conserve it a bit
